Program Introduction
Dive into the world of three-dimensional creation with our 3D Design and Printing Camp.
- Level 1 and Level 2 Courses
- Focus: Introduction to 3D design and printing
✔️This program is designed for beginners and intermediate learners to grasp the essentials of 3D modeling, design thinking, and the actual printing process. Participants will use Tinkercad, a user-friendly 3D modeling program, to design and print their own innovative products.
Approach
Our camp's structured approach includes:
✔️Foundational Learning: Campers begin with the basics of three-dimensional design, understanding key design considerations and the principles of design thinking.
✔️Practical Application: Using Tinkercad, participants will apply their knowledge to create 3D models.
✔️Advanced Skills Development: Those completing the first level can advance to more complex techniques in 3D modeling and extrusion in Camp 2.
✔️Hands-On Printing: Both levels culminate in the actual printing of the campers' designs, allowing them to bring their creations to life and home.
Outcome
Participants will achieve:
✔️Skill Acquisition: Proficiency in using Tinkercad for 3D modeling and an understanding of the 3D printing process.
✔️Creative Development: Ability to think critically about design and apply creative solutions to turn ideas into tangible objects.
✔️Advanced Techniques: For those advancing to Camp 2, enhanced skills in sophisticated 3D design techniques and extrusion methods.
Environment
✔️The camp is set in a technology-equipped learning space conducive to creativity and innovation. Each participant will have access to a computer with Tinkercad and a 3D printer, providing a hands-on experience in a supportive and technologically advanced environment.
